Cherry's magnetic proximity sensors, speed sensors, and rotary position sensors are designed to meet the unique needs of OEM customers. Employing a variety of commercialized, high-volume technologies, our sensors offer high performance in both benign and severe environments, but at a reasonable price.

Solid state Hall effect sensors combine the benefits of direct interfacing and virtually infinite life. Angular position sensors based on Cherry's ILAPS technology provide intrinsically linear output at a cost that re-sets industry standards. Economical reed sensors provide extremely long life with hermetically sealed, micro-processor-compatible contact switching.

AN9 SERIES dual-output rotary sensor

Cherry’s AN9 dual-output rotary position sensor is designed for continuous output corresponding to the rotation angle of a magnetic actuator, typically Cherry’s AS500106. Two electrically independent outputs assure very high reliability. Outputs have intentionally different transfer functions, allowing the connected controller to diagnose any problems in the sensing system, such as short circuits, broken wires, etc.
